Hull-House will host a theater-themed Participatory Arts Family Day on the last day of the month! Storyteller Lily Be will lead interactive workshops, and girl-powered camp {shecrew} will perform an encore of their new show Imperfect Truths: A Self-help Guide Book. Hull-House will offer free public tours, and story time in the Museum. Contribute your voice, join in theater games, share a story and watch ceramic wheel demonstrations with Hoofprint! Celebrate the legacy of arts at Hull-House and see the current exhibition for a free tour of Participatory Arts: Crafting Social Change on its last day! Lily Be produces The Stoop and Story Collider, leads storytelling workshops and performs throughout Chicago.Lily Be is a former workshop leader at The Second City and Moth GrandSLAM champion, dedicated to teaching others to find their own voice.
Jane Addams Hull-House Museum is home to {shecrew}, a year round program that provides space and expressive platforms for adolescent girls and gender expansive youth throughout Chicago. Their Summer Intensive culminates in Imperfect Truths: A Self-help Guide Book, a performance which explores coming to terms with oneself, our locations in the world and how we can support each other.
